Shijiazhuang, June 17 (Xinhua) -- On June 16, the 2024 China Langfang International Economic and Trade Fair, hosted by the People's Government of Hebei Province and organized by the Department of Commerce of Hebei Province and the People's Government of Langfang City, opened in Langfang, Hebei Province.

The theme of this year's Langfang International Economic and Trade Fair is "Building an Important National Modern Trade Logistics Base and Creating a New Chapter of Coordinated Development in the Beijing Tianjin Hebei Region". The 5-day event focuses on the functional positioning of Hebei Province in building an important national modern trade logistics base, presenting the latest achievements in the field of modern trade logistics, providing a platform for communication and cooperation for logistics and related industries nationwide, and promoting the high-quality development of Hebei's modern trade logistics industry.

On the opening day of the conference, a press conference on the achievements of building an important national modern commercial logistics base was held. At the meeting, the report on the development of China's commercial logistics (2023), the import and export situation of China's cross-border e-commerce in 2023, the annual development report of China's cross-border e-commerce, the top 50 global logistics enterprises, the top 100 Chinese commercial retail enterprises in 2023, and the 2024 China Express Industry International Development Index (Langfang Index) were released, providing data basis for the development of related industries and playing a positive role in improving enterprise visibility and promoting industrial transformation and upgrading.

The press conference also reviewed 100 high-quality industrial projects and 10 innovative "golden seed" projects for investment promotion in Hebei Province in 2023, released 2024 projects, and on-site announced two "golden seed" projects, namely the International Modern Business and Logistics College of Hebei University of Technology and the Cross border Trade Club platform of Bank of China.

It is reported that during the Langfang International Economic and Trade Fair, industry conferences such as the China Express Industry High Quality Development Conference and the National AAAAA Logistics Enterprise Conference will be held, and special activities such as the Hebei Province Modern Trade Logistics Investment Matchmaking Conference and the 2024 Beijing Tianjin Hebei Biomedical Industry Chain Investment Matchmaking Event will be held. At the same time, we will organize the construction of a 50000 square meter national modern commercial logistics important base scene collection, an integrated import and export commodity scene collection for domestic and foreign trade, and an international smart logistics scene collection exhibition. We will also set up a business attraction reception room to promote modern commercial logistics scene projects and carry out scene based and chain based business attraction activities.
